The Yorkshire dartboard is an early version of the modern “Clock” dartboard. Unlike the standard board, it has no treble segments or outer bullseye. The bullseye still scores 50 points but is smaller than on a standard dartboard.
In the late 1920s, the treble-bed standard dartboard was introduced and later became the most popular design worldwide. Before this, several regional dartboards were played across the UK, including the Yorkshire Doubles, Kent Doubles, London Fives, and Manchester Log-end boards. Some used different numbering systems, and while these regional boards are still played today, they are much less common than the standard dartboard.
The centre of the board is set at 5 ft 6 in (1.676 m) from the ground. The throwing line, or “oche,” is 7 ft 2 in (2.184 m) from the board face, with a diagonal distance of 9 ft (2.743 m) from the bullseye to the oche.
